Sounds like a classic case of a bad drive motor.
I would unplug the dryer, remove the dryer belt and try to turn the motor by hand to see if it's tight or locked up.

I think a belt on my dryer blew because when I went to start a load (it was a large load my kids put in) a spark came from the bottom and a burning smell followed. Now the dryer does not turn at all. It...

It does not sound like the belt, more like the motor of something else electrical. Turn the machine on its side and check the belt and look at the electrical parts for anything that shows signs of burning or blackening. You can also remove the top to look there, there are some screws at the back that, when removed will allow you to slide the cover forwards.

The blower on my dryer needed to be replaced, I replaced it. Now the dryer gets hot very quickly, but is not tumbling. The belt looks worn but is still intact. I don't know anything about dryers! Do I...

If the drum was turning or if the blower caused it not to turn before you replaced the blower make sure the blower and the motor will turn maybe didn't get something back right. Did you clean all the lint or anything out of the blower housing and the vents. Recheck the idler pully and be sure the belt is threaded right. I have seen this happen and drum would't turn. If it's getting too hot sounds like the air is not getting pulled through the drum or the high limit is not shuting it down when it gets too hot . Check all thermastats and the high limit cut off. You can check them with a ohm meter. Check and see if you can turn the drum by hand.
Hope something here will help you.

I have a neptune dryer. It is making a rhythmic

I normally only comment on Electrical Dryers, but you problem sounds like something that is common to all dryers.
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication.
If you have a front loading machine, You will probably have to remove the top of the machine first, then remove the front of the dryer. This will expose the drum and belt, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers.
Check your rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them replace them.
If they don't then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

Belt replacement - possible missing part

There are some excellent exploded view illustrations you can use for a reference at searspartsdirect.com. Just type in your model number and look under the link on the following page. There is also a zoom feature so you can get closer views if needed.

There are also helpful dryer belt diagrams listed at repairclinic.com. Just click on the "Repair Help" link at the top of the page and look for the "Dryer Belt Diagram" link on the following page listed under "Special Features". The Fridgidaire diagrams are listed as C, B, and G. You will have to know the age of the appliance to make sure the diagram you are using is accurate. If you do not know the age, please post back with your SERIAL number and I can tell you how old it is. I hope you find this information helpful.
