Question about 3M LX400 Mouse

Open Question

Im having trouble with a 3M optical mouse, LX410. It was working a couple of hours ago, but after turning off my computer and starting it back on an hour later it didnt work anymore, the computer doesnt recognize it, no matter which USB port I plug it on. Nonetheless, the red light on the mouse does work when plugged to the computer. Thank you in advance.

SOURCE: Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse Not Connecting

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it to Reset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud

My usb optical mice wont scrool but left clik and rt clik works what can i do?

Don't use a gearhead optical mouse. They don't work. It messed up my computer and took hours for me to get back online. Trash it and stick to a regular mouse.

I tried to connect it to the computer and its not working i dont even know if the computer is reading the usb

Double check that the batteries are in correctly in the mouse, then make sure that the USB is in correctly. Connect the USB to your computer before startup and turn on the mouse. Turn on your computer. There should be a connect button on the usb and/or the mouse. Press both reasonably within a short period of time (5-10 seconds). They should blink and automatically connect. If this doesn't work after a couple of tries, then restart your computer and remove the batteries from the mouse, and start again from the top. If this still doesn't work then bring it back and get a new one.

Mouse only worked for a couple of hours

Do you access the internet? Go to Control Panel->Add Remove Programs and remove this mouse. Reboot. Then install the mouse drivers again and after a reboot attach the mouse. Allow Windows to detect the mouse and loadup its drivers.

Mouse: Must click 3 or 4 times to "pick" stuff. Highlighting "lets go"

Try compressed air to clean under the button. Alternativly try tapping the sides of the mouse gently on the desk - this could dislodge anything under the button

I don't think its a driver issue but you may as well try it. look for the mouse driver on the 3M web site
