sounds like a bad water inlet valve, the selenoid may have gone bad. try reversing the hoses and see what happens, if the cold water stays on, ITS BADDDDDDDDD u can always check with a multimeter to confirm.

I have a miele w864 washing machine that will not fill with water

Does the light "Check Inlet" stay on? If it does, it is likely the water inlet valve solenoids that are inoperative. How old is the washing machine?

Washed clothes last night, unloaded them and put another load in. The light stays on when the door is shut and the power button will not work. We have not lost power.

Switch off and check the drive, check for friction or humming from any section. If so it can be due to fault in the board, fault in the inlet valve or drive circuit.
It is best to trace the power to the main control board to confirm the circuit and if there is no output it can be related to the board. check the door switch which must close circuit for activation of the program.

I have candy washing machine typ goy 105,after two minutes she stop working and red light start to blink 5 times

Please check your water flow at the inlet, if there is no flow then the inlet is blocked, the inlet valve is faulty or the water level sensor is faulty if the water overfills. It can also be related to a faulty controller board.
check this link for tips : Inlet valve.

When the load is finished my washer turns off the light stays on and I can't start it up again or turn the light off until I unplug it and turn it back on. If i don't use it right away it sto

You can do this provided you understand the operation.Possible fault in the control panel or a error due to non overhauling. Now it is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Check this link to replace the inlet valve:

http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1408/how-to-replace-the-inlet-valve-on-a-washer-dr.html

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

The reduce time function seems to have failed as cyces take a minimum of 2.5 hours any ideas please?

It is important to check on the INLET FLOW, check the inlet for input and output flow , if low it can be a clogged filter. If not the delay can be due to low drain pumping, check drain for clogging , clean and reset.
finally if the inlet and drain seems to work well , choose a lower program to access. If the fault stays the program controller memory can be a suspect.

You need to check the circuit in the wash cycle. Disconnect the power to the heater coils and see if the fuse trips. Also the voltage at inlet solenoid must be checked when the program cycle is on the wash , is not the program controller board is fault, possible a wrong output from the processor.
You can isolate the circuits, the heater, the motor drive to see if the trip stays. Also check the inlet and the drain pump on a test bench to confirm the working of the valve which will infer the case.

Miele W1926 check inlet light flashes at he end of rinse fill

Hi Yugin. That indicates your machines water inlet valve is faulty.(Means it's taking less water then normal)Please check this steps & do it fast before water inlet is finishes:1-Turn your machine on & run empty with pre-wash cycle first.2-Please ajar the detergent drawer & check runing water on compartment one 3-Please press pre-wash button & compare the running water volume on compartment two.If the running water volume 1 is less then 2 or vs.water valve needs to be replace. That's causing problem.I hope that helps.Thanks.

Will not load water, light stays on 6 and beeps

Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small screens inside the water inlet valve ports. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. Check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Check the relay and the control board. Something is telling the inlet valves to stay open and allow water. If you just bought and replaced the inlet valve that would be your next stop
