I have purchased a new Ellies Remote Blaster to change DSTV channels from my bedroom, while the DSTV decoder is the my lounge, approximately 5 metres away. Cannot get it to work.

Replace the batteries and then check.

My dstv remote works well except the pause / fast forward / rewind

It sounds like a contact fault to its buttons inside the remote control. Your remote control need to have cleaned. To clean it, you have to open it and take the printed circuit board inside it. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

I had to buy a new DSTV remote as the one I bought a year ago (Model A3) its Rewind and Fast forward buttons broke. The new DSTV remote, Beyond Platinum Model A4 I can't seem to set it up on my Sinotec...

Hi, My DSTV decoder is not responding to my remote, the red light for EXIT(TV2) comes on when I press any button, but nothing happens to change what I want to be changed, please help sort this out

press the shift button, its stats flashing than press the info button (tv1) works every time

Black and white dstv

look on the TV menu for (system) in south africa we use PAL, if you cant change it on the TV, with the decoder remote press menu then 7 then 4, it will ask for a pin code press 9-9-4-9 it will read "RF modulator" press OK, it will then read 1 MODULATION press ok again and it will highlight PAL I now press the right key and press OK, if this persists then the decoder it probably faulty... good luck
