Sounds like grinder, over heated or got jammed by foriegn item (stone, pebble, etc...). If it over heated, then wait a few minutes, and then try again. Grinder also has a heat fuse that may have burnt out. If grinder doesn't work, after waiting 15 minutes, then a technician may have to replace grinder.

Thanks for the response - I think it is probably a foreign object in the grinder. It does not re start even after turning the machine off for a few hours. When it starts making the coffee you hear an electric switch turning on and off at the start and end of the grind part of the program, but the grinder does not start. Anyone know what a new grinder will cost to be installed?

I have Miele coffee system CVA 4062 the grinder is not working properly? I have cleaned everything, Descaled all that good stuff.

Its likely to be the brushes in the Grinder motor. These are replaceable but Miele does not sell them as a spare part. You may be able top fabricate your own if your technically minded and experienced and can disassemble the machine. Otherwise grinder needs to be replaced. Regards

The grinder is not working

Likely causes are grinder has burnt out or temperature cut-out for Grinder has blown. Either can be replaced as a spare from Miele.

The grinder is not working. Only water is coming out.

Basically coffee is not being ground. Likely causes are grinder is faulty or temperature cut-out for Grinder has blown. Either can be replaced as a spare from Miele. Note: A possible cause for Grinder not working is that the carbon brushes are worn away preventing electrical contact. Unfortunately Miele does not sell brushes as a spare part.

Want to clean the grinder part of my built in miele coffee maker.

Very Carefully with the power plug pulled out of the wall.
If you do not have the manual, go on line and have customer service send you a detailed instruction manual or have a technician take you through the process.

I owe the miele CVA4075 BUT my whole bean grinder is not grinding the bean and only water gets dispensed, anyone have a solution?

Make sure the hopper is working correctly to see if there are any blockages, then check under the hopper to the opening where the beans go to the grinder. My guess is that there are a few beans and chipped portions of beans which are clogged under there.

Cannot remover the coffee grinder from machine.

Remove Coffee Maker's top cover. Slide coffee bean container off (after emptying it of coffee beans). Remove fixing screws (normally philips) securing the bean container platform. Remove grinder's bean intake rubber seal. Unscrew the grinder's fine/course selector, paying close attention to where it was originally fixed, from factory. 4 rubber bushing are anchoring the grinder in place, which can be seen from the front of the Coffee Maker (w/ door opened). Wiggle each rubber bushing through, as you pull grinder from the top. Grinder should come loose, after unplugging wires. - Good Luck

Miele grind cycle not working on miele coffee maching

hi,

if you move the grinder level across to the left in one action it can jam up the grinder and even damage the grinder. if adjusted is required you should move it one mark, make a coffee and then move it another mark and make a coffee.
if you can't hear the grinder operating when you make a coffee then it sounds like it could be damaged.
