Sounds like you have change in the pump the coin may be stopping the propeller of the pump not allowing it to pump out the water. you may be able to take the pump off and clean the pump if the propeller is too bad you may need to replace the pump the pump part number is W10049390

My Pentair WF-26 1.5 HP just started emitting a loud "whine" detectable above the regular pump noise. Looking through the window into the debris basket the water also looks more frothy than...

The loud "whine" you hear, does it sound like its a metal kind of "whine"? There are a couple of things it could be. Your impellar may have debris caught in it and to properly check and clean the impellar you will need to open up the pump and remove the diffuser and check/clean as needed. You can sometimes remove the basket and try to feel your way with a couple of fingers to the impellar but your only able to reach 10% of it. Whisperflo is an outstanding pump but very notorious for debris getting stuck in the impellar and the impellar breaking easily because it is plastic. If you have ran the pump without prime/no circulation you can easily have caused heat damage to the impellar. The other thing to check is the motor. Although it is only 2 1/2 years old the motor still could be going out. The bearings are the top noise makers when a motor is going bad. You will still have normal suction/circulation it will just be really loud when the motor runs each day.

I hope this helped. Please don't hesitate to submit any further questions you may have. I would be glad to help.

I have a model 5BS520C. The light works but when I pull the chain for the fan, I hear the sound of three speeds but the blades do not turn. ed.pfohl@gmail.com

Here some toubleshooting:

Problem 1. Fan will not start.
Probable Cause
1. Fuse or circuit breaker blown.
2. Loose power line connections to the fan, or loose wire connections in the switch housing.
3. Reversing switch in neutral position.

Suggested Remedy
1. Check main and branch circuit fuses or circuit breakers.
2. Check line wire connections to fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.
3. Make sure reversing switch position is all the way to one side.

WARNING: Make sure main power is turned off.

Problem 2. Fan sounds noisy.
Probable Cause
1. Blades not attached to fan.
2. Loose screws in motor housing.
3. Screws securing fan blade flanges to motor hub are loose.
4. Switch housing binding against the blade hub.
5. Wire connectors inside switch housing rattling.
6. Screws holding blades to flanges are loose.

Suggested Remedy
1. Attach blades to fan before operating.
2. Check to make sure all screws in motor housing are snug (not over-tight).
3. Check to make sure the screws which attach the fan flanges to the motor hub are tight.
4. Check to make sure that the switch housing does not bind against the blade hub.
5. Check to make sure wire connectors in switch housing are not rattling against each other or against the interior wall of the witch housing.
6. Tighten screws securely.

WARNING: Make sure main power is turned off.

Problem 3. Fan wobbles
Probable Cause
1. Setscrew in motor coupling is loose.
2. Setscrew in the hanger ball/downrod assembly is loose.
3. Screws securing fan blade flanges to motor hub are loose.
4. Fan blade flanges not seated properly.
5. Hanger bracket and/or outlet box is not securely fastened.
6. Fan blades could be out of balance.

Suggested Remedy
1. Tighten the setscrew in the motor coupling.
2. Tighten the setscrew in the hanger ball/downrod assembly.
3. Check to be sure screws which attach the fan blade to motor hub are tight.
4. Check to be sure the fan blade flanges seat firmly and uniformly to the surface of the motor hub. If flanges are seated incorrectly, loosen the flange screws and retighten.
5. Tighten the hanger bracket screws to the outlet box, and/or secure outlet box.
6. Interchanging an adjacent (side-by-side) blade pair can redistribute the weight and result in smoother operation.

WARNING: FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY TURN OFF POWER AT FUSE BOX OR CIRCUIT BREAKER BEFORE TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR FAN!!!

Hope helps.

I have a Nautilus N576-B fan that we replaced the motor in, now it has developed a loud rattle sound with the squirel cage rattling against the shroud. We have tried realignment, rubber damper, etc. to no...

Nautilus is a good brand, my favorite.

Take it all back down and clean it. Check ALL MOUNTING SURFACES, including the mounting of the mounting surfaces. Holding the fan in your hand securely, plug it in. Do you feel any undue vibration?

Do you still have the old motor? You replaced it because it was dirty or not running? You can clean it using electronics spray cleaner available from auto parts supply or electronics supply place or FixYa.com advertiser. Lubricate with light oil if you want. Test it in the samy way as I suggested above.

Reassemble the device using all the rubber the manufacturer provided and/or suggested and try again. Securely tighten all the fasteners.

Let me know what happens please

Dishwasher is making a loud pipe rattling sound

The water supply line has not been secured properly. Turn off breaker, open DW at bottom and secure water line.

Loud buzzing sound when turned on. Some flow to jets just not muc

Replacing the whole thing is pretty easy but costly. You could save up to about $100 just replacing the motor which is still around $300 alone. Try local electric motor shops that advertise pump or pool repairs. The motor may also be fixable so you would be best served to take it to one of those shops for an inspection prior to just ordering anything new.

Loud niose from centre of manafold motor run nice & smooth ?

on the 302 you can not see the cam and lifters unless you remove the manifold. did you try removing the distributer and turning the oil pump shaft until the light in the dash goes out? that will drive oil to the upper cylinder assemblies, other than that you may be looking at replaceing some damaged bearings and or camshaft.

Motor makes loud rattling noise during rinse cycle

could be the coupler and the only way to truely check it is to take the pump, then the motor off. But it seems strange to me that you say it works fine. Is it spinning? usually when the coupler breaks it sounds horrible and usually will not spin but it will drain.I would check the coupler again.
