This is a problem with the Digitizer on your device. It is the piece of the electronics that detects when and where you touch the screen, they do just wear out after a time. You can try resetting the GPS by going into PREFERENCES on the device and finding RESET GPS. However it most likely will not fix the issue. It is repairable but to repair the digitizer is just as expensive as replacing the whole unit unfortunately.

If you think it's still under warranty they will definitely fix this issue for free. Otherwise you may want to look into buying a replacement unit and selling this one on ebay listing it as having the issue it does. Someone will buy it and use it for parts, or just put up with the digitizer issues.

Thanks, let me know if you have any questions or concerns, just reply to my answer here and I will be right back with you.

My mouse pad doesent work

Locate the function key on your keyboard (F1 through F12) that has an icon of a touchpad. This is often a rectangle with two smaller rectangles below it, representing the touchpad and its two buttons.

Press and hold the "Fn" key, usually found in the lower left area of your keyboard.

Press the touchpad function key and then release both keys.

If this does not enable your touchpad, try holding the "Fn" key down and pressing the touchpad function key twice in a row.

Shortcut Key Method

Press the Windows icon key on your keyboard and hold it down until the Start menu pops up. If your keyboard doesn't have a Windows icon, press "Ctrl-Esc" at the same time.

Use your arrow keys to locate the Control Panel and press "Enter."

Navigate to "Mouse" with your arrow keys and press "Enter" to open the mouse control dialog box. Then, press "Alt-F" together to access the tabs at the top of this box.

Navigate using the arrow keys to "Device Settings" or "Touchpad" or the similar option on your system and press "Enter."

Press the "Tab" key until the "Enable" option or a check box next to it highlights and then press "Enter." Press "Tab" again until you are highlighting "OK," and press "Enter."

Your touchpad will be re-enabled.

hope this helps

We moved to a new location and I would like to change the address on the machine. How do I do that?

You can change the address on the receipt header by going into the Setup menu. The options will be different based on who your credit card processor is. Different companies use different programs. However, the basic menu structure is pretty similar. Go into the "Merchant" option and hit F2 for Next until you see the Header Line 2 value. Press F3 to Edit. Type the new address, using the ALPHA key to make letters. Space is 0 alpha alpha. When completed, press the green Enter key. Do the same for Header Line 3. Press F4 to exit. It will ask you if you want to save changes, choose "OK." Press the red X key until you get back to the main screen.

NOTE: Changing what prints on the receipt header will not change the information on your merchant account. You still need to call the merchant services provider and provide them with your new address.
