the thermostat is powered by the unit or batteries if batteries they may be dead if the unit you need to check fuses outside at unit or reset breaker outside depending on age of installation
When you say your fan runs do you mean on the furnace or the outside unit? Double ck your themostat wires if you have a volt/ohm meter ck for 24 v at the contactor in the ouside ac unit. On most A/C units you can manually push the contactor in to make it contact be carefull 220v use an screwdriver to do this and push only on the plastic center if the unit kicks on your themostat/wires/or contactor is bad my bets on the wires. good luck
The thermostat contols the run time of the unit.If the unit is running way below the set temp most likely the themostat is bad.Sometimes on old refers, they can lose a small amount of freeon and still get cold. But, not completely enough to trigger the thermostat to shut off.If your refer is less than 7 years old I would suspect the thermostat.
All of these space heaters have thermal protection units in them. They are safety that shuts the unit down if it starts to overheat.If your fan is operating, then it sounds like the thermal protection circuit is faulty, and you'll need to contact Lasko for a replacement. These units do not have parts that can be purchased due to their UL compliance. Check the fan though, it might be obstructed. I have seen that more than once....Rob
it sounds like the themostat has stuck open. i would change the themostat and also make sure that there is no debri caught in the grill . make sure the plow is not blocking air flow
On Monday, 1/21/08, I returned the Marvin 2060 heater to the store I purchased in 02/07 since the freeze guard stop working. The owner left me a voice message at home and said he after doing some research, he discovered Marvin went out of business in 12/07. And the heater is no longer covered under the warranty. The owner gave me a telephone number, 800.326.3690 which carry the parts for Marvin Heater. I have not called the number since I am looking for another heater with the freeze guard feature since it something I need quickly.
