Question about Sony Handycam DCR-DVD505 DVD Camcorder
For sony if you do not have a disk that came with the camera you do not need one ...but here I will link you to the support site and see if there is any download for your cam Usually if it has a Firewire connection cable it only need a manager to operate the download...
If the camera has a memory card ..the easiest way is to store the footage on the card and use it directly on the computer 's card reader..anyway..another way is to use a dvd in the camera directly ...finalize the disk to be readable and use it to get the files into computer and there copy all and paste on the hard disk in any location you have space ..and after that edit it like you please...Even without having a very fancy program you can edit in windows movie maker available in any windows since XP..
Here is the support site..
