If you feel like trying take it apart and oil both ends of the motor shafts with Turbine Oil or 3in1 electric motor oil then you may be able to get life back into it. Some oils come with a long straw you can slip out of the bottle to reach inacessable areas or devices you wish to not open to save time, like when you can see the motor shaft areas ( each end of motor) and oil them that way. These can be saved sometimes but if the shafts are too scored up and have gumed up factory lubrication then the fix won't last a long time.

That is very normal...the sound is the water being turned to steam which is the "vapor" that comes out...
Everything is okay and perfectly normal.
