Question about Apple iPhone 3G
Make sure you got the latest itunes installed on your comp and itunes is open on it then power off phone by holding power button then hold down home button for around 6secs and connect your USB cable to the phone, you should receive a message on itunes saying your phone has been detected in recovery mode and gives you the option to restore - continue with this and restore your iphone to a previous back up
* be aware though if you restore from a back up you may experience the fault again with the phone as it may be down to a software fault with your back up so if this does happen then do steps all over again and restore your phone as a new iphone *
