Question about Computers & Internet
So you must connect your laptop to the TV with a HDMI cable. After which you must turn the TV into the proper source for the hdmi. If you need help in doing that let me know, it does read in the user manual how to change source or input.
Next step you need to turn on the display output from the laptop.
Please follow the instructions exactly.
So on your desktop you right click on the background and from the drop down menu select Screen resolution.
On the display set up page if you will see one screen with number 1 on the middle of it, thats your laptops display. Now, click on the detect button.
This will detect all the displays connected to the computer, and you might see your background on the tv now.
Okay - if you do see your background picture or color on the tv screen, notice which side the display numbered 2. is from the display 1.
Lets say the display 2 is right from display 1. So now you move your mouse out from the right side of your display and it appears on the tv's screen.
if you don't have picture, do you see a disconnected display option on the screen? if you do, click on that and then change the multiple displays to either duplicate or Extend.
duplicate option shows the same picture on both screens.
extend option extends the desktop space to that monitor.
Then apply and picture should show up on the tv.
If this didn't work, look at the F1 F2 F3 ---- F12 keys on the keyboard one of the F keys will have a special function and a icon that represents switching display signal output. If you press FN down and then tap on that key once it will change the setting and you should get picture.
Now if any of this didn't work, and it does work, then you have done something wrong, the tv is probably set to the wrong source or input, go over all the source options to find the one where the pc image is coming from.
That is it, you will get your computer connected to your tv by following the above advice, I assure you that this advice is correct and it will work. I have 4 displays on my own machine including a 30" lcd and know for sure that this does work.
