What do I do when my phone is "frozen" and fails to open?

You can try rebooting. Hold the button at the top of the phone down until you get the "SLIDE TO POWET OFF" option. Once you slide to turn it off and it shuts off hold the same button down down until you get the apple logo. Let it boot back on. These phones are like computers it's a good idea for you to reboot them regularly

I phone 3gs 16gb does not power on how to solve this problem

Try rebooting the phone, hold in the button on the bottom and the on switch about a minute. That forces the phone to reboot, had the same thing happen with mine and that fixed it.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Apple 3G iphone remain blank

Does it appear to have a faint back light visible?
If so you can restart / reboot and refresh the I Phone which should clear this by holding down the power button and home key at the same time. Keep holding them both until the device restarts and shows the apple logo. This should bring it back? Smart phones generally need rebooting when crazy things start to happen. As I Phone is sealed unit this will simulate a forced shut down which is usually done by removing battery on most phones.
Hope that helps?

IPhone 2G hangs at "slide to unlock" - restore not helping

3g solution

if it still gives you problems then you have a hardware issue, apple won't touch a jailbroken iphone so hopfully you have the apple care protection. Restore it to factory settings and try to take it in for service.
