Question about Dell Inspiron 1150 Notebook
If there are no light or actions I would guess that the mother board is not getting any power. Unfortunately, power is from the mother board and without the notebook in front of me all I can suggest is to strip the notebook down and check the fuseable links, replacing any that have failed.
The most common cause is incorrect polarity of an ac adaptor if it is not just "one of those things".
Hope this helps.
