Minolta maxxum 7000 troubleshoot camera wont take pictures

The batteries are good in my camera. It turns on and i aim and it focuses but then it wont snap the picture. Im totally lost and ive talked to a camera expert and he couldnt figure it out. can you help

There are several possible reasons, it could be the body or the lens. Check the shutter blades without film. Are they smooth and in place, (flat)? It could also be related to the film, a mis-load of the roll. The lens could have some failure, possibly try another.

Hi, If you're sure the batteries are new and working it's hard to say what could be wrong. If you're looking to have it looked at and repaired I'd suggest talking to Gus Lazzari, he's a wizard with 35mm cameras.

Maxxum 7000 are cheap these days. Get a used one on Ebay and keep yours for parts.
Better yet, get a 7000i, 700xi, 650xi, 800xi or a Maxxum 5, 7, or 9. Why? More focus points, faster AF, more options, same lenses. But you will need to replace your flash.
BTW...remove batteries when you aren't put it away.

Where can i buy a battery holder for a minolta maxxum 7000.

try a camera repair shop for a good used one, no new parts are available. or try ebay. you may have to buy a complete 7000, then keep it for parts.
