Question about Toshiba 65H83 65" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
There is either a video driver/output fault, (found on the pcboard that the tube plugs on to and is usually an IC) or you have a short circuit grid to cathode on the red tube.
Replacing the IC is no problem but to replace the tube means a lot of work and money.
If it is the tube and the TV is getting on a bit, time for a replacement? The cost of a decent LCD screen will be less than the repair cost with a tube.
