My copier will not pull the paper through to make copies it seems to want to jam -up ,when the paper start through

There are a couple of possible issues here. First, if the unit isn't new, the paper pickup rollers may have picked up 'chaf' from grabbing paper which over time reduces the ability of the rollers to grab paper. The 2nd option is that if the copier is older, the pickup rollers have dried up which reduces their stickyness and ability to grab paper. The 3rd option is that if you live in a very humid climate, the paper may have absorbed humidity, which can keep it from curling in the correct direction as its being pulled through the printer/copier.

Paper jam on my Lexmark Z42

So I assume the computer is coming up with this error, Do you know whether there is paper in the printer or not that is causing this error or does the printer just think there is?

The outside panels should open up and you should see some rollers which may have paper stuck in them. Check for stuck paper or any other object and simply pull it out. Pulling paper out the way it went in won't wreck the printer.

If there isn't any object, you can try resetting the printer by unplugging it and the plugging it back in.

Let me know it neither of the above suggestions work or if you just need some more help or can provide more information on this.

thanks

When the printer starts to print, one line gets printed- then the paper sticks. The printer says "Clear the Carrier Stall". what does that mean?

Paper Jam...try to clean your printer, get a can of dust off (compressed air) and blow it out. Then take a damp (unplug printer first) and clean the paper rollers. Keep an eye out for anything sticking to the rollers, ink mist build up, or sticker from labels, or just glue from stickers.
Hope this helps you, please leave a rating.

Can't print & causes a paper jam.

Take a can of BlowOff compressed air and blow out any thing that shouldn't be in there, crumbs, stickers, glue from lables, Also get a damp cloth and gently wash off the paper rollers (those black rollers on a bar that advance the paper through the printer.
If you still have a problem with actual printing, you might try removing the drivers (add and remove programs-control panel) and look on the dell site for updated drivers for that all-in-1
Fresh driver can sometimes help.
And I hope this helped, please leave a rating,
Thank you kindly

Please check the condtion of your Film also check the green handle in this area for paper jam removal if it is broken or removed, may also cause this error. Good luck Thanks for using fixya proton

Deskjet D2445 was paper jammed. I did some dis-assembly to clear bad jam & have a bellcrank left over after reassembly. Legs of bellcrank are approximately 2" X 3". parts layout and/or...

hello,
firstly i tell you that you did not presser to remove a paper from paper jam.
if you broken any gear then you should sold it via faviquick and then you try to print. otherwise you should bring new roller and gears and fitt it with it's original where it alocated. i think this time you broken the paper out roller. when you print the paper did not out properly. so firstly you have to change the broken parts from your printer.
go to shop and purchage the new parts and fix it.
then you print.
i hope it will solve your problem.

Paper jam, so small, can't even see paper

first off, unless you know that the paper is there, it's a possibility your machine is just saying or acting as if there is a jam when actually there is something giving a false reading or a failed part rendering it unable to print. Otherwise, if you happen to know where there paper is jammed at, attempt forcing a heavier stock paper through. say the jam is between two rollers attempt pushing a cardstock or index card thickness of stock through the rollers to attempt pushing the paper backward which might either remove the jam and make it removeable elsewhere, or make it so the machine can try to feed the paper through again this time allowing you to reach it.

Please give me the name of a printer that WORKS with writing checks in Quicken using Windows Vista 64. My HP all in one does not - printer jams every time.

HP will work. The jam is a paper problem not a hardware or software issue. Try line feeds without printing. HP also makes the best printer paper so don't skimp on that. Moisture in the paper is the most common paper jam problem aside from debris getting into the rollers. If line feed fails then physically inspect the whole paper path. I have Canon, Epson, Dell, HP and Lexmark printers with Quickbooks Pro. They all work. Paper is your problem barring a banana falling into the rollers. Never leave paper in a printer for a long time as it will stick to itself. Steve
