The steam comes out of the water reservoir cap instead of the steam Jet Nozzle.

I can only guess since I have never worked on one of these units, but I think you lost a gasket on the cap. Pressure must build in the reservoir before being forced out the nozzle.

I'm looking for replacement parts for tristar sb ek-8005.steam buggie. I bought it many years ago on hsn. Thanks for your help! karen USA

Sorry for the delay in responding. I have done many searches and also contacted the maker of Tri Star vacuum products; they did not market the Tristar Steam Buggy.

Before you consider investing more money in your machine you may like to view this video:At this point the only source of replacement parts is likely the secondary or used market. If you search you will find some products offered in places like ebay. For example:

Trust this is helpful. Thank you for using FixYa!

Steam coming out cap not nozzle. doesnt seem to be plugged anywhere

When it's under pressure, the steam has to go somewhere.

If you can be sure that there aren't any blockages in the nozzle (maybe even go so far as to poke a sewing needle in each of the holes), AND that there isn't a blockage in the hose,
then there's a chance that the cap gasket is missing, split, or worn.

Write back if this doesn't solve your problem...

Hi,
You'll need to put 500 ML water (1/2 liter) into steam buggy, Finding manual is difficult contact tristar for that.

The nozzle is blocked up i'm assuming with limescale. I've tried soaking it in descaler but it still won't work. The buggy is working but need the nozzle for any sort of power.

If you can not get the power nozzle to work then the best thing to do is take the nozzle to the local vacuum store(used) and they will tell you the best advice weather it be fix the old one or replace the head. You can pick up a brand new head for around 99.00 up to 350.00 depending on what you want and they have come a long way in the past few years so take a look at a couple new ones.
