Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

Player worked fine for a few months. Then I plugged it in, in my car, and as I tried to scroll my music files, the hourglass symbol appeared on the screen and the whole player froze like that. It won't do anything at all! I can't get the screen to clear, go to my files, access or play my music....NOTHING! I've tried leaving it on for hours, pressing the buttons in every concievable combo, turning off/on, plugging/unplugging. It's been off for 3 months now but I just turned it on and it's still the same. HELP!! Is there a way to reset it or is it all lost forever? Thanks, Cherrie Haynes

Thanks elix0411. The brand is IQ Sounds Digital mp4/media player. I have searched the outside for the reset. The only tiny hole on it is the mic. Could it be internal? If no reset, what do I do to unfreeze it?

Breand is IQ Sounds-MP4/Digital media player. I looked for a reset on the outside of the unit, but did not find one. Could it be internal? If not, how do I unfreeze/fix the unit?

Do not know the exact model-lost my user manual and it does not show the model number on the player itself. But no, it is not the touch screen model. It is a small silver square approximately 2 1/2" x 4" and it is a mp4-not mp3. It also has the fm tuner, e-book, movie player and secret storage.

Hi Cherrie.

What is the brand and make? Most of the MP3 Players has a reset button. It is tiny hole that only a paper clip or a needle can fit into.

What is the exact model? Is this the touch screen model that looks like an iPod touch?

With little knowledge of your unit, I can only suggest that you take out the battery. Put it back after a few seconds then turn it on again. If the battery is built in, you need to open up the player.

Ihow to put movies and pictures on the gpx mp3player

Plug in your MP3 Player. Open MY COMPUTER, your MP3 player will show up in the scroll on the left side of the screen. Go into your documents to select an image and simply drag and drop on top of the folder called ALBUMS under the GPX. This will put images into an album on the player.

To See the images once on your MP3 player,
1. Turn on the Player
2. Hold MODE BUTTON
3. press up or down until you select PICTURE
Your images will appear as a list.

I find that .gif images and .jpg images work the best.

Video files must be .AMV formatted to work on this MP3 player. Below is a link to an amazing converter. It’s FREE and will convert your entire file.

Once you have the video files formatted to .AMV
  1. plug your MP3 player into the computer
  2. Go to MY COMPUTER, you should see a scroll bar on the left.
  3. Find your .AMV VIDEO
  4. Drag file to the Scroll Bar, hold the file over the GPX DEVICE
  5. Two folders will appear under it. Put file into ALBUMS

To then access videos put onto the device. Hold the MODE BUTTON on your MP3 player until you are returned to your menu screen. Scroll to MOVIES and your videos will be there. :D To return to listening to music or looking at Pictures, hold the MODE BUTTON and simply select your desired destination.

This player requires Windows Media Player 11 to transfer music files.

Won't Play

You may have to run your music throught the "media converter". it will convert any file automatically in order for your player to read it.
