Need manual for Uniden cordless phone model no exa17980

Uniden has the manuals for most of their products on their site: http://www.uniden.com/index/manuals_results.cfm?cat=1 . The direct link to the EXA17980 manual is http://www.uniden.com/pdf/EXAI7980om_VA.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Handset leftout in rain. Now just screeches. Have been drying it out for 10 days now but still screeching.

Once water works it's way into an electronic device the damage is done, drying it out will not help most times because the internal components are already damaged.

I got some moisture in the handset and now it is just dead. Is it ruined?I took the back off and let it dry out completely but still not working.

Please follow the link below to make sure that it is dead. If it does not wake up even after you follow the link, you can declare it dead. Maybe, that the service people could revive it after changing a few components.

Water was dumped on my phone....please help

supposedly u disconnect your battery 1st after your son dumped it....try to dry it up by using hair dryer or something equivalent.for the best result u should unattached all the component of your phone n let it dry completely-leave it for 1-2 days under the sun.otherwise, if it doesn't help, i suggest u to send to qualified technician-in order to replace any integrated circuit that has been damaged....

Cordless phone fell in water, can it be fixed

Normally after drying out, It should work, If its not tho, you will prob be better off replacing it... If you have a nice one, With built in Answering machine and all that, check to see if its expandable, If so then just buy a expandable headset as a replacement, That way you keep the same phone system, get a new phone, and it works as good if not better than your old one.

I successfully reset Radio Shack (Uniden) 5561 handset by reconnecting the battery while holding the '*' and '#' key, then press the right upper soft key near the LCD window. The display will indicate "EEPROM/RAM cleared!!" and will return the handset to the factory default condition - looking for a base to register to.
