P4i45gv motherboard can support 250gb ide harddisk

Hi
The motherboard has 2 IDE connectors on board, specified to ATA 100 so I would be very surprised if a 250Gb IDE drive didn't work wth the board.
It is vital however if you have more than one device connected to one of the IDE ports (each port will take 2 devices) that the jumpers on the drives are correctly set to "Master", "Slave" or "Cable Select" as necessary, to ensure that both are recognised
Hope this helps
Cheers

160gb internal harddisk can support p4i45gv

Yes, this board will support that capacity drive provided it's using an IDE interface and it's 3.5" in width.

Don't forget to check your jumpers!

Hope this helps!

CMOS Battery do no work

Just change your CMOS battery with a new one and after that goto the bios settings and update the time and dare.
After that just save the settings and then check that the warning message is coming or not.

If its coming then it means you need to change the CMOS jumper settings.

Please help me

Hi

Check ASROCK P4i45GV R5.0 User Manual Page 17 - http://download.asrock.com/manual/P4i45GV%20R5.0.pdf

Note: Check Page 11 for the CLRCMOS0 location on the motherboard. From the picture CLRCMOS0 is number 18. You can locate CLRCMOS0 just below the CMOS Cell Battery.

Turn off the computer and unplug the power cord, then use a jumper cap to short the pins on CLRCMOS0 for 3 seconds. Please remember to remove the jumper cap after clearing the CMOS. If you need to clear the CMOS when you just finish updating the BIOS, you must boot up the system first, and then shut it down before you do the clear-CMOS action.

Regards
Mike

Check cmos error

Read this only if you are sure that you have replaced the correct type of battery & you have set the jumpers to the default locations.

It is not the problem with the battery or the charging problem (Actualy CMOS battery is not Recharable )..in most cases.

The problem is the battery holder in mainboard where we put the battery IN. eventualy or accidently these Pins from the Battery Holder are made loose or not contacted with the battery.i had the same problem and the solution was to adjust the Battery holder to seat the battery in proper way.

May be This helpe

Restarting problem

constant restarts are down to a faulty driver or the cmos battery needs replacing, or short the motherboard cmos jumpers and reset the motherboard settings
