Yes I was playing that amp on my subs and i turned the volume up about 35 and it went in protect mode. I done with Book said do if goes in protect mode by unpluging rca cables and then still dont work unplug speaker wires i did that all still doesnt work. I even undone the power and let set about 10mins and still comes on. I pulled cd player out and undone the plug and then pluged it back in and it played subs for like 1 sec then went back in protect mode. The subs arent blown and I have no clue what to do to get it out of that protect mode. Thanks

It's very likely that the output transistors have failed in the amp. They will need to be replaced.

Ok because your wattage is too high for the amp when adjusting a amp with speakers always start like this turn amp gain all the way down head unit bass all the way down and treb all the way up then turn on ur highest listening volume that u like then ajust amp to that hight if will stop protect from happening if continues ur sub is too many watts for amp ok

Well i was driving one day and my subs just whent out so i bought brand new wires and hooked everything up but the power protector light turns red whenever uu turn it up past volume 10 i really do not know...

It sounds like your amp is going into protection. I know it's frustrating, but this is actually a good thing. If you subs you have are drawing too much power and the amp can't keep up, it will shut off instead of melting the board. Usually, the protection mode only last a few seconds. The user normally turns the music down that the protection shuts off and the music plays again. I recommend looking at a larger amp for your subs, if you are going to play them that hard.

I have a bamf 5500 series and the amp is on and working but when i turn up the volume the amp will go into protect mode and stay there untill i turn the volume back down then the amp comes out of protect...

you probably have a blown sub(s) that short out when the volume is turned up. it would be a good idea to find out which one(s) is bad and replace it. sooner or later it may make the amp go bad if not replaced or removed.

Protection light comes on , was only coming on when i turned up the stereo , now it stays on , all the wires are good and i cracked the amp open and nothing looks burnt

check your gain on your amp. If it gets hot the shuts off into protection mode you are over working your amp. Check to see the way your subs are wired up and see if your amp can handel the load.

THERES A PROBLEM WITH YOUR RCA'S,IF YOU JIGGLE THEM WHILE THERE HOOKED UP TO THE AMP AND THEY MAKE THINGS LOUDER OR POP THAN YOU NEED TO GET THE RCA TERMINALS FIXED.

Kicker zx1000 only plays at low volume

how high did you turn the gain up and or the freq. mode most soun good at 90to 120hz. any higher some amps trip, and your speakers may not be able to handel the amp.

Red LED "Protection Light is on" What is the problem

The red light means the amp is in protection mode. A few things can cause protection mode..... First disconnect the subs completely from the amp, and turn it on, if it powers up you have blown subs. Also try checking the main power wire at the battery...sometimes the current your meter is seeing is backfeeding from the remote wire, so your main power line could be blown at the fuse under the hood. hope this helps
