WIRELESS ADAPTOR CONNECTS TO REUTER BUT NOT TO INTERNET

If you connect the computer to the router with the cable , does it
work ? If yes then
That means the wired connection is OK.
Open the set up page of the router check the
wireless settings of the router.
I think your network is secured and you are not
typing the correct network key.
just open the router set up and check the wireless
settings .

I only got my DKT-810 ALL-IN-ONE ADL2+STARTER KIT 2DAY THE CD WILL NOT RUN IN DRIVER AT ALL SO I CANT DOWNLOAD IS THERE ANOTHER WAY I CAN DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE SO IT WILL WORK.

You don't need the CD nor software to setup the router. It can work without the disc. Simply hook it up do a power cycle. Make sure the physical connection is correct.

Low signal from my wireless adaptor / router

Have you tried connecting the laptop in a different wireless network? Try changing the channel in your router and you may also upgrade the firmware of your router.

I've just purchased DKT-110 wireless G starter kit.

The Internet/WAN port on the router should be connected to your cable modem's internet port.
Then on your laptop, you should click on "View available wirless networks", your Router should show up there. click connect and you should be able to surf.
Note::The USB DWA 111 should be connected to your laptop and the drivers installed

Getting wireless computor and router back on line with desk top computor

1. Disconnect power from your modem and router
2. Connect an ethernet cord from your modem's ethernet port to your router's Internet or WAN port.
3. Connect another ethernet cord from a port on your router (labeled with a "1" above it).
4. Connect power to your modem and router.
5. I'm a little unsure about how you plan to connect your wireless computer to the router. The router you selected when you created this question is not wireless-capable.

If your router is wireless-capable, go to the wireless computer. Follow the instructions for your operating system below.

Windows XP

1. Right-click on the My Network Places icon on your desktop, and select Properties.
2. Right-click on Wireless Network Connection.
3. Right-click on View Available Wireless Networks.
4. Double-click on your network from the list that appears (it should be called "linksys" if you didn't change the name).

Windows Vista

1. Click on the network icon on the lower-right of your screen (it should look like two computers with one behind another. It might have a red "X" over it.)
2. Click "Connect to a network" (it also might be labeled "Connect or disconnect")
3. Double-click on your network from the list (it should be called "linksys" if you didn't change the name.

Mac OS X

1. Click on the AirPort menu in the upper right of your screen (it looks like "("s turned on their side).
2. Click on your network in the list that appears (it should be called "linksys" if you didn't change the name).

Linksys Adapter and 2wire router

  1. ensure that a wireless connection is created in control panel on the pc, it may not even be attempting to connect
  2. ensure that the router wireless is turned ON, it may have been turned off as a security measure when no wireless pcs were used
  3. The security settings on the adaptor may be set to the office network and locked
wep password at home is different or not enabled, so the secured adaptor will not connect.
make any changes from a cable connected pc (no chance of data loss)
access the routers settings page and check the settings,
then ensure the adaptor rom if present is set to the same settings
