SOURCE: My sony external dvd drive
Hello Crazee,
May be the data cable of external drive is not fuctioning properly. Please replace the data cable and then check it. Also upadate the usb drivers installed on the laptop.
SOURCE: i have an external dvd/cd
Do you know that you cant run this drive just from the usb port? It requires its own power supply and i suspect you have this missing. The voltage and current value should be near where the plug plugs in so you can get the correct supply.
