Question about LG 42LC2D 42 in. LCD HDTV
If only the blue line is on - nothing else - that means that the power source has been shut down. How this happened: in your tv there is a faulty board - on your model it's usually the inverter board, the board that powers the CCFL tubes that provide the back lighting; when you try to start the tv the power source of the tv gets activated and it starts to deliver the current to all the other boards of the tv; the faulty board absorbs way more current that it should - this is detected by the power source who goes full power to compensate; but this isn't enough and the voltage drops - this triggers the protection system of the power source who shuts it down by force. When the protection system is activated you just can't do anything else but to unplug the tv from the mains.
The only way to fix that is to repair or replace the faulty board and this is a job for some one with electronics experience - time to call one.
