It is usually a battery problem. It is not charging anymore. The battery is the power source for your UPS once the AC source is cut off.Open the unit and there you could locate the battery enclosed inside the UPS box unit.Replace it with the same type and size of battery, observe polarity where the red is (+) positive and black is negative (-).Depending on what the manufacturer used for the color coding but still see where the Positive and Negative wires are connected to.But before you open the unit remember to unplug the unit from the power outlet.

I would agree that it is likely a battery issue. It might be helpful to take a picture of the wires attached to the battery to be sure you get the right connection when you replace them. For the APC Smart UPS 1000 you can find the batteries here:

The main screen will not come up rebooted and it still does not light up.The screen WILL light up when you turn it off, but only for one second

Try to re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds. This will give enough time for the printer to reset itself.

It could also be that the printer is not getting enough power to function properly. Try to plug the printer into a different known working power outlet in the wall to identify if it's a faulty power outlet issue.

How to bring a dead battery back to life

Do we give up on people as soon as they stop breathing? No, we give them CPR. So why do we give up so quickly on our batteries.
Here's a little trick I learned while camping in the Philippines when my flashlight went dead. Works every time

Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Hammer or Rock or other device that can be used as a hammer
  1. Step 1 Remove the tired battery from the appliance and place it outside on the ground. Do not remove batteries that have leaked acid.
  2. Step 2 Take your hammer or rock or other hammer-like device and give it a good whack right in the middle of the battery -enough to make a small dent. Be careful of your hands while executing this step. You could put the battery inside a clear plastic bag to give you more control.
  3. Step 3going a little longer It will work usually a few more days-weeks depending on the demand required from it. Enough time for you to buy more batteries. If it doesn't provide more power after one whack, give it another 1-2 whacks.

TPS? Car studders at low speeds when climbing hills

YOU HAVE A TORQUE CONVERTER LOCKUP ISSUE, HAVE SOMEONE LIKE THE DEALER,AUTO ZONE OR IF YOU ARE HANDY CHECK FOR CODES, NO CODES....THEN TAKE THE CAR OUT STEADY DRIVE AT AROUND 45 MPH, GENTLY HIT THE BRAKE PEDAL JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS GO ON BUT NOT HARD ENOUGH TO STOP THE CAR...DO YOU FEEL THE CONVERTER SHIFT IN AND OUT EACHJ TIME THE BRAKE PEDAL IS TOUCHED MAINTAINING A STEADY 45 MPH SPEED, IF IT THAT SAME SHUDDER YOU ARE FEELING THE TORQUE CONVERTER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, NOT AN EASY JOB AS THE TRANSMISSION HAS TO BE REMOVED TO GET AT IT.SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS.......

HP zd8000 won't power up

Real-time Clock could not be the source of problem. Check if you have fully inserted the RAM in the slot or you might forget to give power supply to PC Board or to any other place.

Re-checking will surely solve your Problem.

Good Luck.

The lights on my LG WM2016CW will not come on.

While looking for the fuse, which I could not find despite opening up the machine from the back (and vacuuming underneath--yuck!), I left the washer unplugged for about 30 min. From reading other forums and such, I realized that unplugging for a little while is often the solution because the prolonged (at least 5 min) lack of power triggers the system to reset. Sure enough, when I went back to plug it in and give up for the night, the thing worked fine. Good luck to anyone else out there!

Computer worked fine, unhooked it to hook up a new one, decided to hook the emachine back up to play games on, got it hooked up but it won't come on now. everything is hooked up right, i opened it up and...

make sure you hook everything with a little force especially the memory until it snaps back into place. same goes for all the cards. care should be give to the cpu, nice and easy. make sure your power supply is potential enough or has not gone bad. The MB can give a green light but there could be too little energy for the whole system.

WD Passport Essential 160gb with PowerBook G4

The problem is that your powerbook G4 does not provide enough power to your 160gb passport HD. This does not happens to the new Macs with intel inside.
There are several ways to fix it:
1) Go to West Digital Website and buy a "Power Buster Cable USB" (that connect your 2 USB ports to your passport HD in order to provide more power). I think that it costs 10$. This is the link: http://www.wdc.com/en/products/accessories.asp?ProdID=170
2) The other solution is easier. If you have an external USB hard drive with two USB ports, or a DVD/CD burner with two usb ports, you can pug your passport in one of the ports while the other HD or DVD/CD burner is connected to you PowerBook. You will be able to see and use your q60gb Passport HD.

S 10 PICK UP TRUCK, JUST CLICKS WHEN I try to start it, I think it is the starter or the motor froze up, can you help me.

Check your battery. Do you have other accessories getting power at all? Usually if the starter just clicks like that, the battery may be strong enough to give you radio and some dim lights, but not enough to turn the engine over.
