Hi there,

When you use the words 'mouse' and 'laptop' do you mean an external PS2 or USB mouse attached or the touchpad? Please be clear in your questions.

Anyway, the problem seems to be with your hardware. If you mean an external PS2 or USB mouse then just don't bother. Go get a new one and start using it. But if you mean the touchpad then you need to show it to a technician.

Make sure you have not pressed the little button right above the mouse pad that toggles between locking the mouse pad or freeing the mouse pad.

My cursor on my eisystem laptop is stuck in one place and wont move tried restarting but doesnt help .thank you

try moving the usb mouse to another port - you should hear it beep its disconenct and reconnect. if the mouse is ps2 then you need to power off before reseating it.

if you are using a 'ball' mouse, then you may need to clean the mouse ball and rollers of the build of of ****. if its an optial mouse and the led isn't lit, then you may need to replace your mouse.

Hi...how do i find my cursor...i cant find it... i can move it,but cant see it....wat do i do?

What tye of operating system are you running?
How do you know you can move it if you can't see it?

you can open a command prompt (start, run, type "cmd" without the quotes and hit enter in Windows XP or just tye in cmd in search box in Vista) type in "Control" and hit enter. Select the mouse (mouse and pointers in Windows XP) option and you can test your mouse or change your cursor.

I have an ACER Aspire 3680 and the actual mouse is working (the touch pad bit) but the two buttons (right and left click) are not working. I can get to the properties page of the mouse, but then can't go...

connect an external usb mouse .. it should let you to the properties page then.. then try to download the latest drivers from acer support website.. it should work.. if does not the hardware is bad.. you would need to contact acer to get the palm rest assembly changed .. they will send a technician at ur place to replace the kit..

Right click mouse on task-bar and under properties you unchecked "lock the task-bar"

left click on the task-bar and hold, then move the mouse to you`r left, right, ore where you want to place it and release mouse key.

Computer freezes on boot up

make sure the mouse and keyboard are in right connections...if you look closely youll see icons next to ports.
try without mouse at first start up ,load windows and use key with windows logo on it to access start and scroll to shutdown tab and restart...plug in the mouse before restart.
if logo tab isnt assigned press ctrl + esc to access start menu.

Toshiba laptop touchpad click not working

Ok so here goes.... I had the same problem:

Go to the 'start' button and then hit the 'control panel' option, then click 'mouse' then go to 'Device Settings' and then to the 'settings'. When you get to this screen it shows a list on lthe left hand side choose the 'tapping' option and then ok.

Hope it works for you...it did for me.
