Have you connected your PC to one of the four LAN ports on the bank of the D-Link using an Ethernet cable?

If so, open a command prompt on your PC and type in IPCONFIG, then confirm that the details for Local Area Connection show a Default Gateway of 192.168.0.1.

If there is no Default Gateway, or it shows a different value, your ethernet connection may have been manually configured: visit Control Panel -> Network Settings and double-click on Local Area Connection, then TCP/IP settings and make sure everything is set to default.

Also check your Internet Explorer Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings and make sure you don't have any proxy servers turned on.

Where is the WEP/WPA code on a Netgear router

The WEP / WPA security information can be obtained by accessing your Netgear router setup page. You'll need the router's IP address to access the setup page. From your computer, go to Start > Run > type "cmd" (w/o the quotes), hit Enter > DOS black screen appears, type "ipconfig" (w/o the quotes), hit Enter. Take note of the Default Gateway IP address - that is your router's IP address.
Pull up a browser and enter the IP address in the address bar, hit Enter. You will then be asked for your router's Username and Password, enter the required information. If you don't know the info, please contact your router manufacturer for assistance. Once you're in the router setup page, go to the wireless security settings to check the WEP or WPA code.
Should you still need further assistance on this matter, please contact your router manufacturer.
I hope this helps.

I have problem setting up my wireless network and redirecting my wireless client to my local webpages before they can access to internet.   see this diagram below :...

you need to replace your modem with a router that is capable of running Network Address Translation. You are trying to route private IP's (192,168.x.x) over the public IP (internet) network.

I cant get the modem & router to communicate

What IP address are you typing in to your browser, and what do you expect to happen when you do this?
It SHOULD get you to the router management program. You MUST be online when you are doing this, it can not be done offline. Router IP is either http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 depending on manufacturer. Connection should be via CAT-5 cable router to computer. Trying to do initial setup wirelessly can be VERY frustrating, as wireless access is not yet established.

either you need to reconfigure the router for the wireless configuration or setup the router for PPPoE connection. if you have internet directly to the modem contact your router manufacturer if not then you need to contact your ISP and ask if you need to setup the route rwith PPPoE connection and get the user/password

NAT Type Failed - PS3

contact your manufacterer of the router. they'll be able to explain to you what the nattype is and how to correct it. generally i'd suggest to ry connecting it directly to your modem but the nat type has nothing to do with your ps3 and has everything to do with your network setup. check all your security settings

Problem entering router password

Try going in though its IP address to setup. In internet explorer, type in (with nothing else - NO http - NO www) just type: 192.168.1.1 - then use
username - type admin
password - type admin

That should get you in without using the cd software.
