I installed my Sony CDXGT250MP today and am able to listen to the cd played or Aux output but I have no radio reception?? I connected all of the wires and did have three left over in the wiring in the old stereo. One was blue/pink and attached to its own plug and then an orange and black. the blue is suposed to be the antenna and it is all hooked up.

The orange/black wire should be a dimmer, the blue wire should be power antenna, the Blue wire should only be hooked up if your antenna goes up when you turn the car on, also goes down when car is off. OR you could possibly have an aftermarket antenna that needs power to boost signal. There should be a thick black wire that is pluged in somewhere on the back of your radio.I installed my Sony CDXGT250MP today and am able - bassmekanic.gif

Will the Aux. Input port also work as a earphone system to listen to any audio. This system is in a convertible & this option would be nice going down the road...top down.

aux input is exactly that an input system ( mic , other input device etc)
you need a head phone socket for what you want to do ( output socket)

Aux location

There is a RCA cable that comes off the back of the radio and also another cable for 3.5mm (mini-stereo jack) that also comes off the back of the radio. The RCA jacks can be used for "AUX" or "Sub-woofer" and the 3.5mm jack is just for "AUX". Your ipod can use the audio output jack or the headphone jack and plug that into the 3.5 mm jack on the back of the radio. You will need a "3.5mm male" to "3.5mm male" stereo cord that can be purchased at Radio Shack or Best Buy. Then you select "AUX" on the display with the source button to listen to it. You may need to go into the menu and activate the "AUX" input. Check your owners manual for details.

No sound from cd or aux on CDX-GT32W

Just connect together the solid blue wire on the main harness to the radio with the blue/striped wire. The blue wire is for the power antenna and the blue striped is for the remote amp. but if not connected together only the fm/am has outputs to the line output RCA jacks. I learned this through Sony's tech line and it works perfectly now.

Equalizer troubles

Most likely you have the remote or power wire of the equilizer connected to the "power antenna" output of the deck, which is only powerted when you are listening to the radio. If this is the case, try switching it to the "remote" output, or any normal 12v line that switches off with the deck or ignition. If this doesn't help let me know where you have the equalizer getting its power from and I'll be able to offer more help.

The front end is bad on this reicever. Your going to need special equipment to trouble shoot this problem, as Its all RF. It is most likly not worth repairing as a shop will most likly charge you more then its worth
