Hello Pankai, hi check cable connections, the speakers connection is on the green port of your speakers. if its fine. Now check if the sound card was detected by your computer, check device manager and see if your sound card is present ( no yellow ! and ?). If you find a yellow symbol on your sound card, needs the device driver, (locate your CD driver) install the device driver for your sound card. if you cannot find the driver CD, visit the manufacturer's website and download the driver. if your sound card is part of the mother board, visit the motherboard's website and find your driver there. you need the motherboard model.

Sound doesn't work

First thing first, check cable and sound card with another speakeer system. most of the time even if the sound card show in the device manager it can be faulty. then begin work from there.

if you found that the previous step work and the monitor does not work, you may require to change the sound card in it. at this point I would use external speaker set.

Remove the sound card driver from your computer and then install it back after the computer restart. Check your volume settings and the volume slider on your laptop.

I have installed Windows 7 on my acer computer. now my sound card does not work. What drivers do i need to install. Thanks

1. You will need to find out what sound card you have most likely its realtech on acer, then go to web site for sound card and download windows 7 driver if they dont have one yet which is very possible then try the one for vista it works about half the time.

No sound from the card.

This can happen for several reasons. I am guessing that you have the sound card and driver software installed correctly.
Many times this is caused by Windows not using the new card as the default Sound card. Since you have not mentioned what operating system you are using and didnt mention if you have an onboard sound card with the new card, take a look at the instructions on the page below. It gives instructions on how to set the new sound card as the default card.

Maybe this will work. Hope so...
