S7000 turning off by itself

Thank you for that information. You are right, mine turns off when I somehow touch or jiggle the card door. Did you find a solution?

Thanks sooo much for your help.

This is going to require service / repair at the shop, not something you will be able to correct.

Oven turns itself on

THE DOOR HAS A SAFETY SWITCH THAT SHUTS THE UNIT OFF WHEN THE DOOR IS OPENED KEEPING YOU FROM GETTING "ZAPPED WITH RADIATION" ACTUALLY ITS JUST RADIO WAVES, ANYWAY THE JIGGLING OF THE HANDLE TO START IT IS WHATS HAPPENING THERE. IT COMING ON IS JUST A SHORT IN THE SWITCH THAT MAY BE FROM AN ALREADY SET TIME, OR ITS JUST MAKING CONTACT WHERE ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO. ANYWAY YOU NEED A NEW DOOR SWITCH.

Camera turns on but card not initialized, tried new card and formating but no luck.

Check if the card capacity meets the requirements from the manual. If the card capacity is to big, its very possible that you need a firmware applied to the camera in order to see your card. Also, Fuji is somehow selective when it comes to different types of card from different vendors. Try to search in the camera manual and see if you can get any info related to the type of card it uses or some suggestions from Fuji. Alternative, check on another device if your card is working, sometimes bad cards can double cross your efforts. Cheers

Turns off by itself after i've turned it on

I have this same TV and had a similar problem. This may or may not be the same case with yours. The button panel on the front of your TV may be having connection problems. Mine would come on and off by itself. I took the front panel off and cleaned the connection on the button board with a q-tip and a little dab of alcohol. This cleared up the problem of it turning itself on and off.

Camera turns off by itself

I have a similar problem.. I recently found out it mostly happened when I was squeezing the right side of the camera or touching the card slot cover in some way... and I discovered that the camera turns off when you open the card slot cover, so it probably has to do with contacts that touch too easily and make the camera turn off when you shake the card slot cover somehow. Now that I know the source I'll see if there's a solution. Hope this helps!

Zoom error

Just fixed the same problem on mine. This is what I did:
Unscrew 6 small screws around the lens casing and remove the casing (two layers ((rings)). Jiggle the inner most lens casing while you turn power on. The lens moving (i.e., auto focus) mechanism becomes unstuck. Voila.
The problem in my case was caused by the dust that accumulated inside the casing and caused the auto focus mechanism not to move freely.
Good luck.

Self clean light blinks, oven does not work

You were right. The locking mechanism switch somehow became jammed and the oven thought the door was locked, even though I could open the door. I didn't know if I was supposed to take the top off and moving the lever back and forth did not help. Finally I turned the oven on and just kind of jiggled the latch in the unlocked position. I kind of moved it back and forth furiously and the cleaning light stopped blinking and the oven light came on. I'm glad it is working now, but I will be manually cleaning my oven from now on! Thanks for your help.

The batteries were drained in my FinePix S7000 camera whthe camera was not in use.

The CompactFlash card may have caused the batteries to drain. Some solid state CompactFlash cards consume power while inserted in the FinePix S7000 even if the camera is turned OFF. Fujifilm recommends removing the CompactFlash card when the camera is not in use. Microdrives and xD-Picture Cards do not exhibit this problem.
