Question about Compaq Evo N610C Notebook

1 Answer

Blue Screen I don't think my other message worked, but I let my sister borrow my computer and when I came back she said it pops up a blue screen. And now that is all that it will do. Just show a blue screen with some writing. Saying that Windows locked down so that it is not damaged. How do I fix this?

This is an operating system error. You will need to run a system repair with either the recovery or operating system disc.

Blue screen with error message on startup

Most likely problem is a physical problem with the hard drive, but could be plenty of other things. Best bet is to back up your information (if possible) and do a fresh windows install, if you continue to get the message after a clean windows install, your hard drive is not stable, and has a problem.

PC is frozen on black screen

if your computer has the older ps2 keyboard connection as well as the usbbuy or borrow a ps2 keyboard (small round plug goes into back of computer) and reboot.. some computers do not provide usb support for the keyboard until the machine has loaded windows so a usb keyboard wont work when you need it to on boot-up.. you will be able to use the ps2 keyboard to select the options your machine is offering you (probably after a bad windows crash?)
