if you have the manual for your tv it should be in that or when i bought a 4 in 1 remote you get the number codes with that if not look up the model on the internet that might have your codes

I can program my RCA universal remote to my magnavox tv. It turns it on and off but I can't change channels.

You may not have the correct code for your Magnovox TV. I should try some of the other codes for Magnovox to see if they work better.
Magnovox TV remote codes: 006,007,010,011,013,016,027,033,035,043,066,087,089

I lost my remote for my rca converter box this remote works with my tv but wont on the converter box. Is there a code i need to make it work? or do i need another remote?
