connect the camer aand close flipshare if it opened, connect the open the camera as a drive (in my computer on windows, or on the desktop in mac os) and copy the DCIM Folder somewhere you can find it, disconnect the camera, open flipshare, click help, Recover other flipshare files, and choose the dcim directory you copied to the computer(if the video files are in a subfolder, choose that instead)
AVCHD stands for Advance Video Coding High Definition. Its a video format jointly developed by Sony and JVC. Windows pre-installed applications doesn't natively support this format. You would need the supplied software (Picture Motion Browser v.5) to playback or view your media files.Although it's possible to manually import files to your PC [Mac computers would need to have an intel-based processor, imovie'08 or '09, and NO SD (Standard Definition) FILES recorded to be able to transfer videos] still a you would need a mediaplayer software that supports and recognize AVCHD files for playback. AVCHD files are located in the AVCHD folder>BDMV>Stream. Files would have a .mts or .m2ts extension. So either you use the supplied software or invest on a AVCHD compatible video capturing or editing software.Hope this helps... (update may be released within this month for PMB v.5.2 but downloading orig software for this 2010 model cam, would be better to check this site (you can download PMB software if you don't have it): http://support.sony-europe.com/dime/camcorders/hdh/hdh.aspx?site=odw_en_GB&m=HDR-XR200VE
To undelete your videos files, the first thing you should do is STOP taking more videos with your JVC recorder. Then take more recovery programs to rescue the videos. here are some that should help you out. For Windows --> Data Recovery Software Tool For Mac OS X --> Video Recovery for Mac 1. Connect your camera (memory card) to a PC or Mac which has installed the recovery program. 2. Scan for the lost video files. 3. Recover them easily. Caution - Do NOT try & write anything back to the recorder memory card until you can recover your files safely! Good luck and best regards!
"About video clip files recorded with this camera You can use Apple’s QuickTime to play back video clips on a computer. Playback may be possible using other software that supports the ISO standard MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (AAC audio)."
It happens because you didn't install the quicktime plugin. once the quicktime is installed it will show the preview of the video so you can make your selection.
download the quicktime plugin:
if not download the VLC player. it will nearly play every format. Choose your .tod file and play it on vlc.
hope its helps :) by the way i got the same camera :P
First things first: DO NOT take any more photos or videos with your digital camera (memory card) that you want to recover files from in case you may quite possibly ruin your chances of recovery. Then here are some software programs that may help you out. For Windows --> Data Recovery Tool For Mac --> Mac Data Recovery Here are the steps: 1. Connect your camera (memory card) PC or Mac which has installed the recovery program. 2. Scan for the lost files (photos, videos etc). 3. Recover them.
