This could be caused by low pump pressure but is more likely a bad control board part # 104068-02.

If you put your finger over the pump adjustment screw on the back of the motor you should be able to hear an increase in the sound of the heater.

I have a reddt heater R70dt heater. Glow plug works but turns of after a few seconds. Is this the photo cell.

Darrell, there are 6 things that can be causing the problem.

1. Pump pressure incorrect.
2. Dirty air intake, air output, and/or lint filter.
3. Dirty fuel filter.
4. Obstruction in nozzle.
5. Photocell assembly not properly installed(not seeing the flame),
6. Dirty photocell lens.

To help you narrow this down, as well as the solutions to solving the problem. I am including a link to the Owner's Manual for your model heater, that you can download & print for future reference.. Pay particular attention to page 7 - Troubleshooting.

Reddy pro155 runs for 3 to 5 seconds

Reply with the correct model number. "Pro 155" designates a series. We need to know whether you have a heater with a spark plug or a heater with an ignitor (glowbar).

Reddy Heater keeps shutting down

check your cad cell. replace this. it is not detecting a flame. replacing the cad cell will fix your problem. when it shuts down it goes into lockout.
