Where is the thermal fuse located?

  • jrmn1110 Nov 07, 2010

Can you tell me how to locate the thermal fuse and heating element? Also, do you know the part numbers? Thanks, Joe

Check your thermal fuse. If the fuse is good then replace your heating element. There is a wire inside the element which is covered with ceramic and coated in a non conductive metal. This wire will burn out like a light bulb and need to be replaced.

Problem with the GE Advantium (model sca1001fss01) Convection / Microwave Oven Everything works except the microwave. It makes a sound like its working, table turns, but does not heat or cook.

sounds like the magnetron. Youll have to have a technician replace it. if you have a warranty just call the company and they should take care of you.

GE Profile jvm1090ww 01 SN ZR958136 s Convection temperature does not get above 360F when set at 450F. Could never brown meat or bake.

The convection heater is control according to the temperature of the part n 3014 Thermister
Part Number: AP2025611 made by GE

So this is acting like a temperature sensor and it seem that is giving wrong indication to the control panel and switch off the heater at wrong temperature.

So you should replace the thermister.

You can find this and all a other parts of your oven in this link.
