Question about Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player

2 Answers

No Video Hello, I recently moved. In trying to reconnect my CH-DVD 300 with a Sharp VCR, which is then connected to my tv (tv is old and the only way to connect it is through the video cable at the back of it and the one on the VCR). This used to work. Now I am getting no video - just audio. I tried turning off and then on the DVD player, and then pressing the stop button for 20 seconds, as suggested in a previous thread. This, sadly, does not work. Any help is appreciated. MJ

My apologies. I connected to a Sharp VHS. The VHS appears to be working. I did tighten all connections and even changed them out. Any other ideas are welcome.

    Thanks for your prompt response.

Try changing the channel on the vcr, tighten connections and changing them out. Make sure the vcr is operating by putting a tape in. Basically you have to isolate the problem.

Hook up to view dvd's to tv video cables with yellow white and red plug ins.

Hello, here is a sample for auxilary connection for the chdvd300: . Use the AV (Audio/Video) cable
provided to connect the DVD player to
your TV as shown in the diagram.
. Your TV must be equipped with AV
inputs like those pictured to the right in
order to connect this unit.
. If your TV does not have AV inputs, you
will need a RF Modulator to connect this
player to your TV's antenna/cable input.
RF Modulators are available at major
electronics retailers.

I recently installed a Comcast digital adapter to my SONY RDR-VX515 DVD Recorder/VCR Combo and then onto the TV. Now, when I try to program the VCR to record, the only channel options are Ch 4, Line 1 and...

Hi and welcome to FixYa

Initially, postback the model number of the Comcast digital adapter and the TV.

Offhand, if the Comcast digital adapter is connected to the Sony through a coaxial patchcord, then the Sony would really have to be set to Ch 4 (or 3). Channel selection is done on the Comcast digital adapter. It is not possible to record one channel while viewing another.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa

When I try to play a DVD or VHS on my GO Video DVD/VCR Combo machine, I get audio but no video & the TV (Sanyo 37" HD) says "No Input". I've checked connections, the TV has multiple video inputs but I...

  1. I found the problem - on the back of the VCR/DVD unit there are 3 outputs: L (Wht) & R (Red) Audio + Yellow Video out. The cable from it to the TV was labeled Red/Audio,White/Video, and was connected to the R & W outs, but actually the Wht should have been connected to the Yellow Video out. There is so little space in the TV cabinet/stand that even though I turned the unit around to see the connections, I couldn't see the other (Yellow - Video) out until I pulled the cables out. It's working fine now - I'm not sure how things got connected wrong, since it was working OK before - possibly when I signed up for AT&T U-Verse & the installers moved things around. I'm very happy with that service, by the way - better than Comcast & cheaper, and didn't mean to imply the connection problem was their fault. I may have moved things around in the new cabinet & not realized I hooked up to the wrong outs...

Hi,
This sounds like a compatability issue.
If you buy a new DVD, you gotta buy a new T/V to go with it.
Alternatively, you could try a scart box and cable through that.
Or try outputting through the antenna via coax, see if any of these resolve your problems.
Regards Mike @ Compurepair.
