Motherboard Name Notebook MIM 2230 no sound device

maybe you haven't installed the device driver for the sound. if ever you know the brand name of your sound device. download the driver in driverguide.com but you have to sign-up for a free account to download.
in case you don't know the brand name of your sound device. check your motherboard brand and search the internet for the website of your motherboard they have support site where in you can download device drivers.

Check the soundcard make and the video card make.


Right click on 'Computer' select 'Properties'.

'Device manager'

Scroll down the list that appears and click on Sound. Then properties.

Click to 'update drivers'. It should find drivers that work.

Do the same for video card.

If above does not find correct drivers, go directly to the manufacturer's website and download from there.

Sansui may not support Windows 7 as is, so you'll need to try and error to get it working properly.

just go to start in that you can find setting in that you can find network connection just click that it will open a new window in that window you can find the wireless network connection right click that and enable it will work fine

i assume you are talking about the board inside your notebook.
you will need to call an authorized hp service center to purchase the part.

first of all find what kind of sound chip is there on the motherboard
its model and name and number

accordingly proceed finding or let me know

hi..go and try to find the (Control Panel) then double click the icon of name is (Network Connections) then find the wireless LAN connection..if you have wireless connection u need configuration..if not no have wireless connection you need re-install the LAN card driver..Thanks and good luck..^_^

Its the daughter board it holds the power socket usb sockets and on off switch , common fault about 95 euros for the part if you can get one and a lot of work to replace solution is not to buy cheap laptops stick with a decent make will save you money in the long run

hi check the device manager for whether the sound device is properly installed. if not, use the motherboard cd to install the driver. check the sound amplifier and its connections. for microphone setup, use the sound and music devices in the control panel and select the recording device name correctly.

Verify the sound device is enabled If there is no sound from the speakers or headset, use the Device Manager to determine the state of the sound hardware.

1. Click Start , type manager into the search field, and select Device Manager . Alternately, click Start , Control Panel , Hardware and Sound , and then Device Manager .
2. Double-click Sound, video and game controllers .
3. Do the following, depending on what is seen:
   • If a sound device is listed with a down arrow , the device is disabled. Right-click the sound device name and select Enable to re-enable the device. Go to the next step if problems continue after enabling the device.
   • If a sound device is listed and enabled , right-click the device name and select Properties to view more helpful troubleshooting information in the Device Status window. If Device Status shows that the device is working properly, the problem is likely related to sound settings, the speakers, or the audio cables and connections.
