Have an electric Reddy Heater 55000 about 4 years old that we have been burning diesel fuel in. Laterly we have been having touble with it starting, takes many attempts, Also the fumes are so bad we can't...

It sounds like you are not getting complete combustion and need to adjust the air flow to the burner so it will have more air/oxygen to burn. You may try cleaning the fan and burner also.

I have a Jandy LITE2 LG325. Only two years old.

Does the pilot light stay light? Or light then go back out? If it is doing that then it is the thermocoupler. looks like a wire that is in the flame of the pilot light. Other than the sparker. That is what dectects that there is fire in the pilot light before it starts the gas. Safety thing. So if that isnt detecting fire, then it will never let the gasvalve open up, Try taking some steel wool or real fine sandpaper and clean up that sensor. The wire. It builds up a thin film on it from gas burning.

There are a few things that you will need to check on these pool heaters if your unit is ignited, but your burners wont fire. First, and this probably seems obvious, make sure that the knob is set to the on position. Next, cycle the ignition sequence until the air is out of the gas line. If it will still not fire, replace the gas valve.

Fire inside burner

Hi looked on the wedsite it sounds like the air mixture is wrong casuing it to light back on to the injector (ORFICE) A slong as the orfice is clean and the burner is not blocked then the screw on the burner should adjust the air flow , turn it out as far as it will go with the burner on adjustthe srcew keep tuning slowly in , if it lights back it might make you jump but it won't do any harm , its just getting the mixture right, try this and see if it works ,

R 150 B wont stay running

Most common problem is the CAD flame sensor, two wires in a round rubber boot about 2 inches long facing the combustion chamber. You can get one from Mr.heater for 3 bucks and even though the wires are a different color you can just splice the to your old wires and it will work fine, just did the same thing with mine and it's perfect now.
