Question about HP LaserJet CP1518 Printer

1 Answer

Documents are not printing centered on the page - the printing is either too far down or too much to the left, etc. Artwith borders around are impossible to print accurately lined up on the page. I am trying to print a program 8.5 x 11 and the pages will not center properly. They seem to be too loose in the tray, and the guides are not adjustable. When I print business cards on the avery template, they print off center as well. How can this be fixed? My inkjet printers never had centering problems.

Hi,
i think when you get a printing not centered, its a problem of the polygon mirror of the laser unit, the mirror was not calibrated properly, when the exposition step start, the laser motor must be in constant speed, if the speed change printing will not be correct,so you must disassemble the LSU and check if there is a foreign body. but the best solution is changing ths LSU.
here the picture of LASER SOURCE UNIT:

How do I create mirror image letters?

I will assume you need to print part of page backwards or upside down.
This is pretty easy using a Text Box. A text box can have a border, be opaque or transparent, force the text to flow around it or not.
To create a text box, go to the Insert tab, click Text Box and then I like to choose "Draw Text Box." You can draw it in the general area you need it. It's ok to use one of the preset Text Boxes, too.
Type your text inside.
To flip the text around, double-click your text box to activate it, and then look for the Rotate button in the "Arrange" section on the Ribbon. You can flip it horizontally or vertically as many times as you need to make your text upside-down or a mirror image.
Then edit your box - border, color, text wrapping, position, etc.
Good luck!

Print shop 3.0 not working on windows 8

Try right clicking the program and running it with compatibility mode for a version of windows it ran in :) This should help, another option is "troubleshoot compatibility" when you right click it and it should take you through some steps.

I hope this helps! :) Feel free to reply and I'll try and help you even further.

What are the parts of microsoft word?

Microsoft word is a program, there are no physical "parts" to it. If you mean Microsoft Office, there is:
Word Excel Powerpoint Entourage/Outlook OneNote (Schooling version on tablets)

Can't find program for borderless printing

You need to really defining "Border-less Printing". Are you speaking of printing border-less photos? Or do you mean border-less documents.

Border less photos are usually set up in the printer's driver, providing that the printer's hardware allows this function. Some printers, especially older models, cannot print to the edge of a page by design.

double check ALL the print settings (i.e. paper type, document type, etc). Depending on which option it is even one "box" or "setting" being changed can alter your printers function. Try looking for options that will auto detect the type of document you are printing (ie, color, with pic, plain, etc).

VERTICAL PRINT LINES

Check the front paper exit rollers for fit and alignment also the paper deck guides close to the planten area, if the printer is dropping print vertically down one side of the page, this can be caused by debris or anything that lifts the caridge assy the slightest bit, also check the print head seating and ribbin cable for proper alignment

I can't get rid of the margins when i print something

I'm guess you are printing from MS Word? Click File the "Page Setup" Click the layout tab the far right then go to the bottom and click borders and select the NONE option. You should have your borders removed!! =) That is if that is the type of border you are talking about.

Cheers!!
