Question about Southwestern Bell Lands Phones

1 Answer

The model # is GH5835GT and all of a sudden the listening voice stopped working. The person onthe other end can hear me just fine. I thought it was the battery so I installed a new battery, so I know that isn't it. What is my problem or is the phone shot as this is the 2nd phone in a cordless system. It ha been very good and I hate to lose it.??????

Hi,
This is because the speaker on your phone is damaged. You can try taking it to service centre they may just replace the speaker alone. If that is not possible no other go you need to go for a new phone only.
Thank You

When making outgoing calls I can hear the person on the other end but they are unble to hear me. I have a Nokia 6120 Classic.

first if your phone have a voice recording option check that your **** is working properly or not by recording any voice for 5 to 7 secs. If it is probable that mic is working properly say you listen the recorded voice than you might have muted the voce increae it by side bottons if present or from phone's sound settings

Because of the design of these headsets, over time the wire leading to the mic can wiggle and break loose, which allows you to hear fine, but prevents the listener from hearing you. My bet is that it's the red wire, as it tends to have more pressure placed on it. The dismantle process isn't easy (i'm working on the very same problem at the moment!) but if you'd like to try it and are able to do very fine resoldering I can share my notes with you. Otherwise, you're out of luck and will need to purchase a new headset. Sorry I can't give you better news!

Audio problem. When I make/receive calls, other person cannot hear my voice.

This problem I've had myself But it will only solve the problem if your cell uses a sim card. When the sim cards go bad thats whats happens your hear them but they can't hear you or vice-versa.
