Hi,

Many times if the ignitor will not click to light it is the pressure switch for the inducer fan....or there is something blocking the vent pipe ...

Check the vent piping for water and other blockage...even a little bit can stop it...

Check the little hoses to the pressure switch...

check for power to the ignition control and if it is getting power then replace the control...

It just occurred to me that you may be talking about a wall heater instead of a furnace....

Those piezoelectric igniters are a once and done deal and if they stop clicking and sparking then you will have to replace it....

The problem is that many of them are very hard to find if they are not a brand name heater...

Try doing some searching on the internet for the ignitor and heater that you have....they are not that hard to replace if you can find the right parts...

2007 Chrysler town and country. Battery light came on and a whirring sound came from the engine compartment.

If it's a rapid machine gun like clicking it is probably the starter motor dying. Wiggling the wire suggests an electrical earth issue. Disconnect the battery. Disconnect the starter motor wire at the engine end and rub the two faces that touch with fine sandpaper. Refit the wire and the battery.
You should also get the alternator and battery tested as the battery light and heater issues could be due to a charging or battery problem.

99 Pontiac bonneville wont start. just get a humming. no crank or starter sound

This may be related to the antitheft security system. The system is known for turning off the starter and/or injectors when it fails. When it's the security locked out starter, you won't even hear a click when you turn the key. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY or a picture of a car with a lock through it? This is a common problem worth looking into. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/

Wont start/turn over clicks when turn key/battery good

If the battery is good as you state. then the starter must be at fault, if you can reach it give it a light tap with a hammer and try again. if this fixes it you need your starter replaced or repaired.

My1997fordareostar van will make a clicking noise but i still have all power in battery what is the problem

A click every time you activate the starter motor generally tells us that the solenoid is working fine, but that the starter motor is faulty and requires repair/replacement.

To just double check:

Turn on the headlights when cranking.
If the lights dim significantly, then the battery doesn't have enough charge to power the starter, and the battery could require replacement.
If the lights don't dim by much, then the issue is most likely the starter motor.

Car won't start just clicks. 2002 Mazda Protege5

The check eng light and the click are separate issue. The click is caused by a burned contact pad in the starter solenoid, the starter solenoid is mounted to the top of the starter motor on the engine. As for the other problem replace the O2 sensor, the heater is defective that preheats it when the engine is first started.

does the starter make a "clicking noise" when it wont turn over? check your battery cables at the battery and at the starter solenoid....if it not a connection , then it sounds like a bad starter relay/solenoid
