There is not a lot of specific product information available for either the 13Y600-7560 or the JX1LTV.

From what I can tell, it looks like these are analog TVs, meaning you need the box if you receive signal over the air (antenna). If you use cable, satellite, etc. you will likely not need a converter box.

Visit https://www.dtv2009.gov/Options.aspx for more details, and for a guide that walks you through if you need the box.

Have a Zenith DTT901 converter box, need the remote codes for my zenith remote, thanks

Your Zenith remote should be able to control your Zenith DTV box. If not, your remote may not have the latest codes or it could be defective. You may have to try a newer programmable remote.

I am unable to tune in my mother- in- laws Sony Trinitron television Model KV-M14u as she has mislaid the operating manual when she moved down from Manchester. We have the remote but not the instructions...

Most Trinitrons use the menu button on the remote to set up funtions.Chanel Line Up, or set up chanels is under one of the funtions.Be advised that here in the US the switch to DTV requires that you have a DTV Tunner to receive over the air Broadcasts,Analog tuners no longer receive chanels(you need a converter box and anntena,Cable/Sat work fine.If this is an older model you need box.Try to get into menu, setup, chanels.Good Luck.

Need adator for DTV converter box.

The converter box needs an antenna, but not the one built into the TV. In fact, you should get an antenna designed for the new DTV broadcasts to get the best reception. There are a number of styles and they start at under $10.

To connect the converter box to the TV, you have a couple of options. You can use the channel 3 or 4 output from the box and connect the cable to the TV external antenna jack with the appropriate adapter. Or, since this TV also works as a monitor, you could use the converter box video and audio outputs instead. If the TV has a single A/V input jack instead of separate audio and video jacks (the usual case), Radio Shack and other vendors sell the adapter cable you'll need. One might have been supplied with the TV.

How to convert the J53 BW to receive digital broadcast signals

Certainly you can use your TV!

The converter box needs an antenna so it can tune the channels, but it doesn't have to be the antenna that's built into the TV. In fact, you'll get better reception if you use an antenna designed for the new DTV broadcasts. Several types are available at stores where they sell TVs, and they start at under $10.

Then you'll need to connect the converter box output to the TV so you can tune it in on channel 3 or 4. I'm not familiar with your Jensen set, but I've never seen a TV without some kind of connector for an external antenna. The most common type on small TV's is a jack similar to an earphone jack. Radio Shack sells an adapter that plugs in and allows you to connect the cable from the converter box. Take the set with you if necessary so you can find what you need.

Will an RCA Digital Convertor work on Durabrands model #1304.?.

Hello chlpepr2,

Yes it should work, connect the RCA video out (yellow connector DTV Converter) to the RCA video in (yellow connector TV set). Then connect the RCA Audio out (Red-Right White-Left DTV converter) to the RCA audio in (Red-Right White-Left TV set).

Then setup your converter box according to the manufacture's instructions.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

DTV hookup for an RCA XL-100

Try the $40 RCA DTV Tuner/Converter from Wal-Mart. Connect your existing VHF/UHF antenna (if you don't have one, Wal-Mart sells them too) to the antenna input on the back of the converter and the converter to the antenna input on the back of the TV. If it has only twin lead antenna inputs instead of the standard coaxial type, you'll need a simple twin-lead/coaxial connector, which is about $5. Tune to VHF channel 3 or 4 (set your converter switch correspondingly), turn on the conveter box and follow the onscreen instructions. If you see static, use the automatic or manual fine tune control until you see a clear picture of the menu screen.

If you mean does it have DTV tuning, the answer is no. (DTV is the new digital broadcasting which replaces the current analog system this coming February.) All TV's made after March 1, 2007 must have the digital tuning, but your set was made earlier than that. You would need to get a converter box if you aren't connected to cable or a satellite.
