Question about LG RU-44SZ63D Television

1 Answer

Lamp timer I have a LG RU44SZ63D. I replaced the lamp but now need to reset the lamp timer. Reading though some of the othe blogs one suggestion on another model was to press the menu button on the remote and the menu button on the tv at the same time and hold for a few secs. I did this on mine and a password menu appeared. The password requires 4 characters but I don't know what that is. Can you help?

I have just figured out how to reset the lamp timer on the lg RU-44SZ63D. You hold down the enter button on the tv and press the mute button on the remote. wait a few seconds and the hours will show up in the center of the screen press the right arrow to reset to zero and the yellow light on the front of the tv set will go out and the timer is back to zero

I recently replaced the TY-LA1000 lamp but I'm getting a yellow flashing light that goes on every 5 secs.I made sure that it was installed correctly and tried resetting the timer by pressing + and - o

Yellow flashing light? Did you get any picture? Bet, not!
It means: your lamp door interlock is not engaged: did you forget to turn the locking knob? Did you install lamp compartment door? That might be the only issue. Lamp timer blinks 'red", while TV works normally. Reset the timer, it's gone, along with annoying message. Yellow means: interlock or thermal protection is off. Try to repeat lamp installation procedure. then, you'll find out your mistake. don't need to remove the lamp. It would be "red", if lamp won't fire up.
good luck,

Hey , wish you well, i bought a replacement lamp for the pt ax 200e it's the et lax 100. Installing it works great. Fits perfect. But when i switch on the projector, it still shows me the same runtime...

Reading the manual in this case made the trick. I only had to reset the timecounter. Works normal again , plus , the original lamp is still in use, and holds three times longer now than suggested by manufacturer. ( the time till it says ``change lamp`` ) means two times reseted now , but no problems with it. Could have saved the money for exchange item. But i sure will need it as time goes by. Good Panasonic product running this many hours. Thx for reading :-)

Replaced lamp in projection tv PT52LCX65-K1.Now have a green and purple image 3 -4 inches slightly to left of screen, also a purple one to right of centre, they appear intermittantly. Also the change lamp,and...

First- Did you replace just the lamp itself. If you did, you must make sure the lamp is flush into the lamp cage.

Second - Make sure the new one (if you bought it complete with cage) is flush also.
If you didn't have this problem before and have it now then retrace your steps.

hello, if your still getting the lamp error then your lamp cover is'nt on right i'ld suggest taking cover off then re-installing it if the t.v. is'nt reading the lamp cover then it'll give you this error after re-placing the lamp, also take the lamp out and re-connect make sure the 2 prongs are on the lamp tight.

Projection lamp timer reset

I need help resetting the lamp timer. Is there a way to reset the timer w/o the remote? We bought this tv as a floor model 4 yrs ago and they didn't have the actual remote that came with it, so they gave us another remote that works. We replaced the lamp but we keep getting the message that the lamp needs to be replaced and the timer reset. Plus the red lamp indicator is still on. We even used a friend's remote (he has the exact same tv) and it still will not reset the timer.

Sony KDF-E60a20 loses signal

I had the same problem. The TV would work for about 2 minutes, then lose audio and video for about 45 seconds, then come back on. This was a constant loop. The power LED would stay lit constant though. I considered changing the lamp as other blogs suggested. Then I thought the problem may be simpler. I removed the lamp, and to my surprise, the lamp screen was full of dust. $5 bottle of canned air, cleaned all the dust from the inside of the TV (including the lamp screen), and low and behold the TV worked great. The lamp did have a burned smell to it, but it still worked great. I would suggest trying this first. Save yourself alot of money:)
