Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies
Your projector is a DLP one - in which the light of the bulb is reflected by the DMD chip thru a wheel of cored screens. The DMD chip is the one that actually generates the image: it's covered in 2 million very tiny mirrors that can be tilted individually - more they are tilted lesser is the reflected light so an black/white image appears. In yopur case the DMD chip is completely nonfunctional because either itself it has died (most likely) or because the processor of the projector (the one that converts the RGB signal coming from the pc in commands for each single mirror) is dead. The only way to fix either of the is to replace them and in both cases this isn't an option: the price for the part plus the labor will be more than what you would pay for a brand new projector.
This one is dead, time for a new one.

It sounds like the color wheel or the video board in general has failed on your projector. Was it working before you replaced the lamp, was it just dark / dim? It sounds like it has major problems potentially.. let me know what the symptoms were before you changed the lamp and I can help you out here.
Just reply to my question here and I can help you...
Thanks so much,
