Question about RELIANCE ELECTRIC WATER HEATER
1) Many times people turn ON the electricity before the tank is filled with water.
This instantly burns out any element that is not submerged in water.
If the upper element is burned out, the lower element may be good, but the way the thermostats work, the upper element must heat top of tank before power is sent to lower element.
2) My new electric water heater had same problem, and the red reset button, or ECO, was tripped on upper thermostat.
Open cover and check reset.
3) I will be here for the next several hours, add a comment and I will help further
