Panasonic dmr-ex88 Hdd rec in self check mode keeps repeating

Corrupted firmware. A firmware update is necessary. Before doing anything, try a hard reset, and then check. If it do not help you, try a firmware update.
There are two methods to reset. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the Device from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand devices are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

While updating the firmware by USB port, power went off and since that the equipment does not turn on.

I think you'll find that as it has crashed out during a Firmware update there's nothing that can be done.

The key point before staring the update is that it tells you not to disconnect power during the update. I know its probably not your fault that the power went off but I always plug into a UPS before attempting any sort of firmware update.

My Nokia E63 is not starting. When I power on, it just displays the Nokia logo as part of the welcome video and then gets stuck there. It does not even switch off from there. Please help!

There is a problem in booting of the software.Due to virus or any corruption in software.

Initially try hard reset by following the details in th following link
http://en.kioskea.net/faq/470-how-to-reset-your-nokia
Remove memory card during switch on.

If the reset does not work update the Nokia firmware using Software updater or by updating firmware from Nokia care.

I have a Daewoo Twin Tuner hard disc PVR with a firmware

I had one with the same firmware faults - in the end I had to return it as Daewoo had no plans to update the firmware. When I returned it it joined a huge pile of them in Currys.

169 is an internal IP. If you are not already, try a hard wired connection to the router. If this fails, you will need to get in touch with D-link.

Looks like the file that gets downloaded has a .bix extension.
Try changing the extension to .bin
Then try the update
I think I had to do that when it first came out.

Panasonic DMR-E80H Change Disc Error

If you haven't done so, try downloading the firmware update from their support site. Burn the update file to a cd-rom.

I have had numerous times where my unit recovered and I had to format the hard drive(losing all of my shows), but since I did the update this has not happened to me again.
