Question about White Sewing 979
I was sewing along smoothly, and then I used the "backstitch" button and then there seemed to be no connection between machine and foot pedal. I pressed the foot pedal and nothing! I shut off machine, pulled plugs, waited - hoping it would reset itself, but so far it has not.
Any solutions to this problem?????
I'm sorry I don't know this model, but will try to help you.
Are the buttons still functioning - or is one deffinately seeming broken?
Try selecting other functions and see if there is any life at all.
If there is no life in it whatever, remove the fuse (test it) and replace.
If still nothing, There is an electrical fault either in the foot pedal, or motor.
These can be tested with a meter to determine the fault.
Repair of the motor or footpedal (dependent on tests) may be required - usually the motor.
Hope this helps - if so, rate as fixya!
If not, I'll try and Identify the fault.
Thank you for using Fixya!
