If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured there are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.
I think you may have answered the question yourself. I would say you'll need to get it repaired. Usually it's just the power converter at a cost of around 200-500 dollars.
Astar got sued by Philips and went out of business. Astar owned themselves rather then having a reproduction redesign of another set. They were a cheap Chinese company that made stuff for Compusa. I've repaired a couple of their sets and they're easy to work on but a little under built. So chances of matching the remote code up to another tv code will be left to guess and check. On some remotes you can enter a setup where you can press the power button over and over until you find the right one, then press another button such as enter or select to lock it in. See if your manual says anything about code search.
hey brother, I got the same problem with my TV same brand, same size, I can tell you that this company has too much problem here in california so they closed.1 month ago I went to the main office cause they are in my area. the problem is that there is no solution for this problem, no body say nothing.
