I need to replace the CMOS battery in my Gateway 7330 laptop and I cannot find out where it is

It is just below the keyboard under the palm rest. Remove all of the screws from the bottom of the unit, carefully - from the left side, pry up the trim panel that has the power button (careful since the power button board is screwed into this panel), then remove the screws for the keyboard, slide it up towards the LCD to release it, remove its ribbon cable, you should be able to gently pry the upper and lower case halves apart enough to see the battery. The cases will NOT seperate!!!!!!!!! I then used a small straight blade screw driver to pop the battery out. It was a CR 1220 3v lithium coin type battery in my 7330GZ. I had to go to a specialty battery store to get one! Hope that this helps!

Clean install of Windows 7 on Gateway 7330. Cannot get sound or wireless working. Help?


go to the gateway 7330 page of the gateway official website. download the vista drivers for the system. when you want to install, right click and select "install with troubleshooting". then follow the instruction from there.

Have you updated your BIOS to the most current for your laptop? What diagnostics have you run? Have you defragged your hard drive? These are both solutions and request for clarification. There are a number of solutions but you have to really be specific about your problem.

not sure there are vista drivers available but you didn't give the model number (there are two 7330) anyway follow the link and input your model number....if your operating system is not listed there might not be vista drivers available

the key combo is F2 + Fn key (the fn key is located on the bottom row all the to the left) a little blue light lights up that looks like this ((o)) that lets you know it's on. press the combo again to turn of wifi communications.

Ubuntu Screen setup Problem


alot of times the amount of ram can affect the boot....interestingly i had the same problem...now what my problem was is i was using an older computer...or so i thought....if you pop out the cmos battery..its the small button cell battery on the motherboard and replace it...it should work fine....worked for my hp pavillion and on my gateway 7330 laptop...good luck
